Stephen is Managing Director of UNDP FC4S as well as Head of Secretariat for the UNDP Sustainable Insurance Forum (SIF). Stephen is also a Board member of the International Sustainable Finance Centre of Excellence (Ireland) and co-leads on the APEC Sustainable Finance Development Network (SFDN). He is also Chair of Ireland’s Climate Finance Week Ireland series; member of the international advisory grouping of the Climate Bonds Initiative; Sustainable Finance Skillnet Ireland Steering Committee member, and serves on several international sustainable finance working groups, including the Indian International Financial Services Centre Authority (IFSCA) Sustainable Finance Taskforce and the Swiss Building Bridges Committee. In 2020, Stephen received the 2020 Irish Green Leader award, sponsored by Department of Communications, Climate and Environment. Stephen is a former Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the Irish Department of Communications; Advisor to Kofi Annan’s UN ICT Task Force; and founding CEO of the UN founded Global eSchools Initiative. Stephen has led and delivered initiatives from start-up to scale across both public and private spheres in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics’ Joint Degree from the Trinity College of Dublin and a postgraduate in Information Technology (IT) at the Dublin City University.
